Job Summary:

Maintain the landscape of WellStar Health System to the highest quality standard while providing superior customer service. Work as directed by Team Leader, know proper way to plant trees, shrubs and flowers, how to prune different species of shrubs and trees, remain up to date and informed of current practices with use of horticulture supplies such as chemicals and fertilizers. Mow edge, pull weeds, blow, prune, install plant material, clean and de-ice side walk and parking areas and detail facilities per supervisors direction. Effectively operate various gas-powered equipment used in general landscape maintenance (lawn mowers, back-pack blowers, weed-eaters, pruners, shears, etc.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Key Role/Responsibility

  • Ensure that the entire grounds of the facility are neat and clean including amenity areas.
  • Pick up trash whenever necessary and keep equipment in good running order.
  • Mow, edge, pull weeds, blow, prune, install plant material, clean and de-ice sidewalks and parking areas and detail facilities per direction.
  • Attend departmental, system-wide and/or interdepartmental meetings as needed.
  • Ensure all trucks and shop are kept clean. And complete all duties giving by your Supervisor.
  • Will oversees crew when supervisor in out.
  • Assist with pesticide applications to include mixing and applying chemicals. Pesticides, Fungicides. Customer Service
  • Demonstrates courteous behavior when dealing with others.
  • Cooperates with other Wellstar employees to prioritize and complete task either as a project leader or a member of the team.
  • Displays positive attitude when working with others. Financial Stewardship
  • Plans for and uses resources efficiently, always looks for ways to reduce cost.
Required Minimum Education:

High school diploma Preferred or equivalent Preferred Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s): All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated. Georgia Driver’s License Additional License(s) and Certification(s):

Required Minimum Experience:

Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
