Position Overview:

As a Garage Door Technician Assistant, you’ll support lead technicians in the repair, installation, and maintenance of both residential and commercial overhead doors. This entry-level position is ideal for someone mechanically inclined and eager to learn the trade. You’ll gain hands-on experience and receive on-the-job training with opportunities for advancement. This is a full-time, W2 position offering hourly pay of $16-$18, full benefits, and a consistent work schedule.

Responsibilities:

Assist lead technicians with garage door installation, repair, and service (residential & commercial) Prepare tools, materials, and job sites for daily work Perform basic tasks under supervision, such as assembling components, running wires, or removing old equipment Help maintain equipment and keep vehicles/job sites clean and organized Follow safety procedures and wear proper protective equipment Communicate clearly with the lead tech and customers as needed Learn and grow your skills with on-the-job training

Requirements:

Mechanically inclined with a strong willingness to learn Physically capable (lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders, working on your feet) Punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented Strong work ethic and a positive attitude Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background and drug screening Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions Experience with tools or construction is a plus, but not required

Pay:

$16.00 – $18.00 per hour
