- Job Description
- We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques.
The role involves repairing or replacing defective components, such as motors, belts, gears, or electrical wiring, and maintaining documentation for both existing and new equipment. The successful candidate will provide assistance to mechanical installations, troubleshoot and repair hydraulics, and address electrical/mechanical problems on machinery.
- Responsibilities
- + Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using appropriate tools and techniques.
+ Repair or replace defective components including motors, belts, gears, and electrical wiring as needed. + Maintain up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacement of parts. + Assist with mechanical installations as directed. + Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical problems on machinery. + Interface with equipment operators and maintenance staff to identify equipment issues. + Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to determine and execute repairs. + Install and service a variety of systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, communications, and process control systems. + Support continuous improvement engineers and production departments by suggesting ways to improve equipment reliability and productivity. + Adhere to all safety standards and wear necessary personal protective equipment.
- Essential Skills
- + Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills in both electrical and mechanical domains. + Experience with PLC troubleshooting and understanding of ladder logic. + Ability to troubleshoot electronic systems ranging from 24v-120v, up to 480v. + Capability to read and interpret electrical schematics. + Knowledge of rollers, gears, bearings, and shafts. + Welding skills.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Experience with PLC systems and electrical troubleshooting up to 480v. + Strong technical skills in troubleshooting across various equipment components.

- Work Environment
- Work in an industrial setting on a M-F schedule while on contract, with shifts available from 7am-3pm. Upon permanent placement, shifts will rotate between working four 12-hour days one week and three 12-hour days the next week, with opportunities for additional overtime. Dress code requires adherence to safety standards including necessary personal protective equipment.

- This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newnan, Georgia.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $30.00 – $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
