We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and help maintain our facility.

• Job Summary:

• The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the preschool is maintained in a safe and functional condition. This role requires availability on an as-needed basis to address urgent maintenance issues promptly.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing broken furniture, fixing leaky faucets, and replacing light bulbs.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address maintenance needs.
• Ensure that the playground equipment and other outdoor areas are safe and well-maintained.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
• Work with the preschool director to develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down for special events and activities as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe environment for children, staff, and visitors.

• Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of mechanical and electrical issues.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
• Flexibility to be available on an as-needed basis.

• Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and crouch for extended periods.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
