Maintenance Technician Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing skilled and semi-skilled tasks related to the maintenance and repair of the college’s facilities and grounds. Duties Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and associated hardware Installs, maintains, repairs, and renovates plumbing systems and fixtures Assists with renovation and carpentry projects as assigned Participates in the repair and maintenance of college equipment and vehicles Supports grounds maintenance, including landscaping, applying herbicides/pesticides, and maintaining parking areas Operates and maintains a variety of tools, equipment, and materials Maintains accurate records and maintenance logs Maintains fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and security systems Coordinates the work of maintenance and custodial staff as directed Responds to emergency repair requests Performs other duties as assigned
