Full Job Description Job Title:

Maintenance Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential duties of this position include but are not limited to: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in equipment such as conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and production lines. Conduct routine inspections and tests to ensure all machinery and systems operate safely and efficiently. Maintain and repair facility infrastructure, including lighting, HVAC systems, plumbing, compressed air systems, and building utilities. Assist with the installation, commissioning, and relocation of equipment and systems. Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprints to determine work procedures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records. Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and PPE usage. Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement efforts. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment in both equipment and facility areas. Act as equipment “owner” for packaging of pharmaceutical products and Nitrocellulose Solution Plant. Reviews and maintains inventory levels of spare parts, consumables, components, etc. that are required for plant operation.

Qualifications:

Required skills:

Demonstrates leadership qualities within the assigned department. Need expertise in mechanics, instrumentation and automation. Hands-on mechanical aptitude. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures or government regulations; write reports and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from managers. Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions; interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions. General knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Knowledge of PLC interface will be a plus. Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Desired skills:

Previous experience within the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
