Onsite Maintenance Technician 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars Atlanta, GA 30310 Job Description Onsite maintenance technician position for a 5-story mid-rise condominium located in the heart of Atlantic Station in Midtown Atlanta, GA. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the skilled maintenance and repairs involving general carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, and electrical repairs, to guarantee that the community is properly and safely maintained as directed by the Board and the Community Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate. Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs to ensure that the buildings are properly maintained. Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, and drains. Perform vendor management and/or basic project management. Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems & equipment as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

$30 per hour based on experience.

Requirements:

Requirements Valid, unexpired driver’s license with clear driving record. Strong customer service skills. Excellent communication skills, spoken and written. Ability to interpret and complete verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level. Self-motivated, proactive, and attention to detail. Knowledge of chillers / boilers desirable. Knowledge of general maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.). Knowledge of electrical and plumbing codes and maintenance requirements. Knowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements. Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements. Ability to safely operate, climb and perform work on ladders (1-2 stories). Ability to operate smartphone & email (day-to-day operations, basic communication/monthly reporting). Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds on a frequent basis. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, pull/push, grasp, twist, reach above shoulder, walk, stoop, kneel and climb. Must be able to use hands and fingers to input data to information system; and talk or hear to gather and provide information on departmental processes. Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED Required. 3 – 5 years in general maintenance or building trades (preferred).

Working Conditions :

Typical work environment year-round indoors and outdoors (frequent standing, walking, lifting and/or operating powered equipment using proper safety techniques or tools), possible exposure to elements like rain, heat or cold.
