Class Summary Job Description
This position is responsible for performing trades technician duties related to use of precision and predictive maintenance technologies and tools to identify problems and perform minor repairs on treatment process equipment. This position performs infrared scans on electrical equipment, collects vibration data for analysis, performs precision alignment, conducts UAV inspections, and makes necessary repairs and/or adjustments. Essential Duties

Predictive Maintenance Trades Technician I:

This class is responsible for assisting other trades personnel by performing routine duties in specialty or general area.

Predictive Maintenance Trades Technician II:

This class is responsible for performing specialized trades duties and assisting in the training of new employees.

Predictive Maintenance Trades Technician III:

This class is responsible for performing journeyman trades duties in specialty area. Incumbents also serve as lead to staff.

Predictive Maintenance Trades Technician IV:

This class is responsible for overseeing daily activities of subordinate staff and performing highly specialized work in area of specialty. Incumbents supervise staff.
Other Job Requirements/Information Some positions within this classification are considered a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing.
Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Heavy Work:

Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of forces constantly to move objects.
Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, dusts, gases, workspace restrictions, and travel.

This position may be required:

24 hours on call assignment, overtime, or working weekends, holidays, 10-hour, 12-hour, and rotating shifts.

00 Minimum Qualifications

Trades Tech I:

High School diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license.
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) must be obtained within 12 months of employment.

Trades Tech II:

High school diploma or GED
Two years of trades experience Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job;
Class A Commercial Driver’s License must be obtained with 12 months of employment.
Valid driver’s license.

Trades Tech III:

High school diploma or GED
Four years of trades experience
Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
Class A Commercial Driver’s License must be obtained with 12 months of employment
Valid driver’s license

Trades Tech IV:

High school diploma, or GED
Valid driver’s license;
Five years of progressively responsible trades experience, some of which is in a supervisory capacity;
or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above;
