Facility Maintenance Technician – Manufacturing 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars 333 Jesse Jewell Parkway SE, Gainesville, GA 30501 Job Summary PRT-Staffing is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Facility Maintenance Technician for a long-term opportunity at a leading manufacturing facility in Gainesville, Ga . You will be responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of all facility equipment and building systems. The ideal candidate has strong electrical and mechanical skills, experience in a manufacturing environment, and a commitment to safety and quality standards (including 5S and TPM).
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary technician for all facility and equipment maintenance, from the building to the grounds. Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical systems, including HVAC, fire alarms, fire pumps, and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment. Work with 120/208/480v electrical systems in both single-phase and three-phase configurations. Read and interpret electrical blueprints and diagrams to diagnose and resolve issues. Operate fabrication equipment and machine shop tools (presses, drills, welders). Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts. Maintain a clean and organized work environment following 5S principles. Comply with all ISO 9001 and
ISO 14001
quality and environmental requirements.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. 2-3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Proven skill in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and diagrams. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift and overhead crane certification within 30 days of starting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Maintenance Technology or a related field. 2-5 years of demonstrated industrial maintenance experience. Experience troubleshooting refrigeration systems. Knowledge of formal Preventative Maintenance (PM) processes.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and work in conditions with varying temperatures. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Good dexterity to handle tools, and specific vision abilities including close, distance, and peripheral vision.
