How You’ll Make an Impact The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for maintaining the Distribution Center daily using preventive and corrective measures ensure the safety of the facility. This role typical reports into the Sr. Mgr. Safety and Maintenance and is based in our Stockbridge Distribution Center. 75%: Daily Operations Perform preventative, corrective, and break down maintenance on conveyors and other material handling equipment. Offer guidance and training to Maintenance Tech I associates as needed. Ensure that all work, including work performed by subcontractors, is done in accordance with OSHA regulations and Carter’s safety rules. Responsible for observing housekeeping, safety and C-TPAT compliance in assigned area of responsibility; Stay within compliance of the company policies regarding safety. 25%: Support Functions Maintenance of facility property, not limited to building grounds, HVAC, generators, sprinkler systems, security systems, etc. Assist with planning and coordinating the maintenance and repair of conveyors, machines, and equipment. You If:

Must have: You will operate equipment for most of your shift, so you must be able to pass equipment and safety certification. Experience using routine industrial hand tools. Electrical knowledge and experience installing and replacing outlets, switches, and fixtures. Team player willing to perform various job duties to support the department and the facility objectives and key performance indicators. A customer-service orientation willing to exceed the expectations our customers. Ability tolift to 50 pounds repetitively, scan with RF equipment, bend, twist, and be on your feet for shifts up to 12 hours long. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others (Supervisors, Managers, and peers). Flexibility to work overtime and comply with blackout periods (no vacation or personal time allowed) during peak periods. A valid state-issued drivers’ license and a good driving record. 2 – 5 years of maintenance experience Preferred Skills and Experience Preferred experience with conveyors, 24 VDC/120 VAC control device experience. Mig welding, stick welding, 460-volt, 3-phase on hands experience, material handling equipment experience (MHE), pneumatic and hydraulics. A self-starter with a desire to exceed expectations.
