Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician in Pendergrass, Georgia.
In this hands-on and fast-paced role, you will be responsible for keeping woodworking and millwork machinery operating efficiently while supporting a safe and productive facility. In a Maintenance Technician job, you’ll be responsible for: Performing breakdown maintenance and repairs on woodworking and production machinery (e.g., saws, sanders, planers) Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems Maintaining accurate maintenance logs and records through the CMMS Assisting in modifications, installations, and equipment upgrades Understanding PLC hardware and basic programming functionality Supporting the facility by ensuring consistent and safe machinery operations What you’ll need: Minimum 2 years of experience working with industrial equipment Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with machinery repair Working knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to read schematics and blueprints Familiarity with safety protocols and OSHA standards Ability to use hand/power tools, technical manuals, and diagrams Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in dusty/noisy environments, and remain on your feet for extended hours
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with woodworking or CNC machinery Welding and fabrication skills Forklift certification
