Monday – Friday On-call work required Keep Facilities Running. We’ll Keep You Moving. We’re hiring a skilled Facilities Maintenance Field Technician in Columbus, GA to keep critical systems running smoothly. If you’ve got hands-on experience maintaining and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems—and prefer being on the move—this role is for you. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity where you’ll work independently, solve problems fast, and get rewarded with a company truck and gas card to get the job done right.
What You’ll Do:
Operate, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, lighting, and more Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance across facilities and grounds Respond to service requests using a CMMS (Corrigo), track work orders in real time Support fire, life safety, and environmental systems Interact with vendors, facilities staff, and customers to coordinate repairs and service Maintain safe working conditions and follow all safety protocols Be ready and available for on-call emergencies as needed
What We’re Looking For:
High School Diploma or GED 4+ years of experience in facility or industrial maintenance Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems Universal EPA 608 certification (or able to obtain within 90 days) Valid driver’s license – truck and gas card provided Familiarity with CMMS (Corrigo preferred), Microsoft Office tools Physically able to lift up to 80 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight or elevated spaces Strong communication, customer service, and independent troubleshooting skills Nice to
Have:
Trades school or apprenticeship training 3rd party technical certifications Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) or controls
