Edward Street, Fort Valley, GA 31030 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of facilities and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, facilities maintenance, and the ability to troubleshoot various mechanical issues. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with other team members and may take on leadership responsibilities as needed. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including logic controllers and schematics. Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for testing electrical components. Perform welding tasks as required for repairs or modifications. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Supervise junior maintenance staff or contractors during projects and repairs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor team members. Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings. Familiarity with electrical systems, troubleshooting methods, and repair techniques. Experience with logic controllers is preferred. Ability to perform welding tasks is a plus. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
