About the Position
The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for general facility and equipment repairs. May be required to perform HVAC services or additionally skilled duties.
Functions
Perform general facility maintenance to interior and exterior of building, fixtures, appliances, and equipment.
Diagnosing and repairing electrical equipment or machinery. Knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics.
Ability to program Programmable Logic Controllers using basic and ladder logic.
Knowledge of Confined Space Requirements and Permitting and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
Schedule Preventative Maintenance and maintain Logs, for all buildings and equipment.
Schedule and oversee any third-party contractors visiting facility for repairs or maintenance.
Inspect ladders, dock doors, dock lights, dock plates, and personnel door access for safe operation.
Operate battery changing equipment/station for powered industrial equipment.
Operate a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Additional duties as assigned by direct Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years maintenance and repair experience required. Strong mechanical ability required.
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or other mechanical certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Attention to detail
- Pass Background and Drug Screen
