Maintenance Technician 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Trumbauersville, PA $2,500 Hire Bonus – 50% paid after 30 days, balance paid after 90 days Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance across a 100,000 square foot precision machining and manufacturing facility operating at two nearby sites. This role requires a strong mechanical and electrical background, a proactive safety mindset, and the ability to work with urgency to reduce downtime, support production goals, and maintain critical facility infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Equipment Systems Maintenance Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on CNC machinery, screw machines, and facility support equipment (compressors, chillers, pumps, etc.). Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including motors, relays, PLCs, VFDs, control panels, and lighting. Maintain and repair HVAC systems, including diagnostics, filter changes, and seasonal servicing. Support maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems integral to machining operations. Preventive Maintenance Execute and document preventive maintenance routines per established schedules. Monitor equipment health and escalate issues before breakdowns occur. Contribute to the development and refinement of PM checklists and logs. Facility Support Address general building maintenance needs including plumbing, minor carpentry, lighting, and grounds upkeep. Ensure both sites meet 5S and workplace organization standards for maintenance areas. Support facility upgrades, equipment installations, and moves. Safety Compliance Follow all company safety policies, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), PPE usage, confined space, and electrical safety. Identify and mitigate safety hazards proactively in collaboration with the EHS team. Participate in safety audits and emergency preparedness drills. Team Communication Coordinate closely with production, engineering, and quality departments to prioritize and resolve maintenance issues. Provide status updates for open work orders and clearly communicate timelines for resolution. Assist in mentoring junior team members or temporary technicians when applicable. Qualifications Required Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a machining or manufacturing environment. Strong background in CNC machine repair (mills, lathes, screw machines). Working knowledge of HVAC, facility electrical, and basic plumbing systems. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Demonstrated history of safe work practices and rapid response to facility needs. Must have own basic set of tools and valid driver’s license (travel between sites required). Preferred Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). EPA Section 608 HVAC certification. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and 5S. Forklift or scissor lift certification a plus.
