We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the proper functionality, safety, and maintenance of all equipment and systems within our 9 Car Wash locations. The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of 3-phase 480 electrical systems, low voltage electrical, hydraulic systems, basic plumbing, and the ability to use technology to track work orders and inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Systems:
Perform maintenance and repairs on 3-phase 480 electrical systems and low-voltage electrical circuits. Troubleshoot electrical issues, identify potential hazards, and ensure safe operation of all electrical components.
Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems:
Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot hydraulic hoses, pumps, MAC valves, and air compressors to ensure efficient system performance.
Plumbing:
Address basic plumbing issues such as leaks, pipe repairs, and drainage problems within the facility.
Work Orders:
Process and prioritize work orders, maintaining a thorough record of tasks completed and those pending. Ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks as per the work order system.
Equipment Testing & Safety:
After performing repairs or maintenance, conduct full operational and safety and function tests on equipment to ensure it functions correctly and meets safety standards.
Inventory Management:
Use Microsoft Excel and other tools to track and maintain a running inventory of parts and supplies. Order necessary materials as needed and track usage for cost control.
Independent Work:
Work independently and proactively without direct supervision. Must be self-motivated, reliable, and demonstrate sound judgment in diagnosing and solving issues.
On-Call/After Hours:
Must be available for on-call support and after-hours work as necessary to maintain operations.
Company Vehicle:
Responsible for the proper use and care of a company vehicle, including maintaining cleanliness and routine maintenance checks.
Training & Education:
Train and educate staff on maintenance procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices to enhance overall team competency and awareness.
Remote Troubleshooting:
Guide staff through troubleshooting processes remotely, providing support and solutions to issues as they arise.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance, including electrical systems (3-phase 480V), low-voltage wiring, hydraulic systems, and general facility maintenance.
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and manuals. Working knowledge of relays, MAC valves, hydraulic pumps, and hoses.
Plumbing Skills:
Basic plumbing skills, including pipe repair and installation.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for inventory tracking and reporting. Comfortable using work order management software and other basic computer tools.
Safety & Compliance:
Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations for maintenance and electrical work.
Problem-Solving:
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to think critically and resolve issues quickly.
Self-Starter:
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, taking the initiative to complete tasks efficiently.
Availability:
Willingness to work early morning hours, after-hours, weekends, and on-call shifts.
Reliability & Trustworthiness:
Must be trustworthy to handle a company vehicle and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions (e.g., tight spaces, elevated areas, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical certifications in electrical or mechanical systems. Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Familiarity with industrial control systems and PLCs.
