Commercial General Maintenance 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Baton Rouge, LA 70809 For over 30 years, Wampold Companies has been a leader in real estate development and property management. We are seeking a General Maintenance Worker for our Baton Rouge Commercial office.
Duties:
- Hands-on completion of all maintenance, repair duties, and work orders assigned
- Detail building as requested/needed
- Keep maintenance supply rooms neat and orderly
- Power washing of exterior drives, stairwells, etc.
- Maintenance of 3 exterior fountains
- Monitor grounds and parking lots for trash, clogged drains, deficiencies, etc.
- Complete daily and weekly rounds sheet
- Monitor the property for liability issues at all times and make immediate recommendations for correction to supervisor
- Other activities as directed by supervisor The successful job applicant for this position will have the following experience/training, skill/knowledge, and attitude:
PLUMBING
- Basic general knowledge of minor repairs
ELECTRICAL
- Basic general knowledge of minor repairs.
CARPENTRY
- Basic general knowledge of minor repairs.
PAINTING
- Ability to paint with brush and roller, to use caulking, spackling and wood filler in preparation for painting; knowledge of paint product differences and applications
- latex/oil, flat/gloss, interior/exterior.
- Good general repair skills and knowledge
- Physical ability
- Stooping, standing, bending, lifting (up to 60lbs) required
- The ability to read and comprehend written directions and to fill out job-related forms.
- The ability to prioritize and work in a professional manner under minimal supervision.
- General computer skills including sending/receiving emails, operating systems, and general use.
- Understands the importance of and is committed to producing high quality work through attention to detail.
