Day School Maintenance Personnel St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church and Day School 1322 Church Street, Zachary, LA 70791 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems within our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks, ensuring that all equipment and systems operate efficiently and effectively. Duties Perform routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal performance. Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions. Fabricate parts as needed for repairs or modifications. Maintain and troubleshoot logic controllers to ensure proper functionality. Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical testing and diagnostics. Conduct residential painting tasks as required to maintain the appearance of facilities. Lead small teams on specific projects, providing guidance and support to ensure successful completion. Document maintenance activities, including repairs performed and parts used, for record-keeping purposes. Requirements Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance roles. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings. Ability to fabricate parts using various materials and tools. Familiarity with logic controllers and electrical systems. Experience in welding is a plus. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage small teams effectively. Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting. Previous experience in residential painting is desirable but not mandatory.
