The Repair Maintenance Technician will perform general repairs to multi-family properties.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Performs general plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) repairs to the facility’s equipment and systems. Inspects equipment and systems to identify problems or issues. Consult blueprints or building plans to identify the best solution for systems or equipment issues. Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure that plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems operate correctly. Obtains services from outside contractors when repairs require specialized training. Performs general cleaning tasks in the facility. Maintains inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies. Response to tenant reports of maintenance issues on their premises. Performs fixes such as repairing broken locks, filing gaps on walls, sheetrock, property interior and exterior, etc. Install appliances and equipment. Reports to Property Manager for issues Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repair. Ability to read blueprints, building plans, and repair manuals. Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Ability to follow instructions. ability to work under minimal supervision. Ability to take apart machines to replace defective parts. Ability to prioritize workloads critical to operation. Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) standards. Excellent time management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a related field preferred. HVAC Certified required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be able to climb ladders, bend, and crawl into awkward spaces. Must be able to lift fifty pounds at a time.
