Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or as a parks building and grounds attendant; OR Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering; OR Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

85% + Duties include all minor repairs to buildings and equipment, which require general knowledge and skills in mechanics, electrical, plumbing and carpentry fields. + Responsible for inventory and storage of all materials and supplies used in maintenance of buildings. + Responsible for ordering supplies and materials necessary to perform all job responsibilities. + Maintains and repairs the facility’s locking system and assures grounds are secure. Diagnoses and assists in the maintenance and repair of school vehicles. + When necessary, supervises custodial workers, laborers, contractors, and others assigned to maintenance, repair and upkeep of equipment, buildings, and grounds. + Replaces light bulbs and cleans light fixtures throughout the campus. Performs basic maintenance and repairs such as, but not limited to, replacement of bathroom and kitchen fixtures, painting, and general carpentry. + Assist with safety inspections of buildings, fleet vehicles, equipment, and grounds and all other safety compliance requirements. + Available or on call for all fire alarm and security alarm calls. + Ensuring the buildings are unlocked and opened daily. + Assist with the PM of the air conditioning and heating system and ensuring proper building temperatures are maintained. + Provide for the set-up and take-down of meeting rooms and event spaces in preparation for and following special events on campus. + Provide basic custodial services in the absence of the regular custodians. Assists custodians with projects that may require more than one person to carry out. 15% + Assist with proper transferring of property inventory, disposal and controls as per needed. + Assist with the maintenance of the fleet vehicle or vehicles. + Maintain the general appearance of the campus grounds as needed, specifically removing trash in the parking lots and campus grounds and emptying trash cans on the exterior of the buildings + Provide maintenance repair support across multiple campuses, as needed. + Operate the following equipment within the scope of the job: pickup truck, forklift, floor polish machine, and wet/dry vacuum machine. + Performs all other duties as assigned by appropriate authority.
