Maintenance Technician Position Available In Berkshire, Massachusetts

JOB SUMMARY

Maintenance is responsible for troubleshooting,maintaining, and repairing mechanical machinery and equipment.

Maintenance must always demonstrate safe working practices andprocedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and solvemechanical problems to keep equipment running smoothly
• Identify andperform routine Preventative Maintenance on all equipment Performpreventative and predictive maintenance which may include building ordismantling machines
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly equipmentinspections
• Provide documentation and communicate inspection resultsincluding necessary corrective actions
• Report all facility issues thatare not immediately repairable to the Facilities Manager
• Whenappropriate, maintain confidentiality and observe data protection andassociated guidelines
• Identify abnormalities and repairs requiredwithin the building and advise the supervisors accordingly
• Move heavyfurniture, equipment, and supplies either manually or by using handtrucks
• Identify and repair potential safety hazards/concerns
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules
• Check and updateSDS paperwork for compliance
• Compliance with all state regulations
• Identify areas of process improvement, cost, and waste reduction
• Workin an efficient and timely manner
• Undertake relevant training anddevelopment as required
• Carry out duties within a realistic timelineensuring that deadlines are met
• Maintain cooperative workingrelationships and demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diversepopulation

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Clean building floors bysweeping, mopping, scrubbing
• Plow, sand, salt properties as needed
• Lawn care and parking lot repair as needed
• Remove snow from walkwaysusing snow shovels and spread snow melting chemicals
• Set up, arrange,and remove decorations, tables, chairs and trash receptacles to preparefacilities for company events and meetings
• Follow company safetypolicies and safe work practices
• Interface with all departments toensure all equipment is operating properly to avoid disruption ofservice/production
• Understand and comply with Lenco safety andenvironmental policies
• Select the proper safety equipment to be usedby employees
• Select proper consumables to be used by employees(grinding, pads, cut off tools, etc.)
• Forklift and crane Compliance
• Other duties as assigned and requested by management to meet theon-going needs of the Company

EXPERIENCE

• Manufacturing equipmentdiagnoses and repair
• Use of cleaning/maintenance equipment
• Use ofgrounds keeping equipment
• Fork lift operation

EDUCATION

• High SchoolDiploma or GED equivalent

CERTIFICATIONS

• Fork Lift OperatorCertification
• Hoisting and Rigging Certification
• Valid DriverLicense
