POSITION SUMMARY A

Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining our manufacturing facility and installing/maintaining manufacturing equipment. A Maintenance Technician is a key member of our manufacturing team. He or she will be cross trained in all areas of the factory, ensuring maximum flexibility and productivity in daily operations.

SUCCESS CRITERIA A

successful candidate for an Impact Nano Maintenance Technician will have a diverse set of skills in assembly and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, along with a general understanding and skillset with computer based maintenance systems and software. The winning candidate will be enthusiastic about learning and growth, while maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct, facility safety, and product quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Learn and follow all safety policies and procedures Maintain plant equipment (e.g. pumps, piping, cooling/heating systems, vessels) and facilities to support chemical manufacturing Act as an expert resource within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), including equipment setup and maintenance schedules, corrective maintenance orders, preventive maintenance orders, maintaining spare parts inventory, etc. Install mechanical components, structural steel elements, piping, process equipment, and auxiliary systems. Promptly perform assigned corrective and preventive maintenance tasks and enter accurate records of completion Perform cleaning of process equipment and facilities Participate in site Emergency Response activities Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education Required:

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Post high school education in trade or manufacturing technology is a plus.

Minimum Experience required:

Manufacturing facility maintenance (5+ years) plus experience and knowledge with computers. Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment and/or experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is a significant plus.

Physical Requirements:

Properly use and maintain PPE and follow PPE policies and rules. Note, must be able to fit test and use an air purifying respirator. Must be able to routinely lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to access chemical manufacturing equipment, including frequent use of ladders and stairs. Must be able to execute Work at Heights and utilize required fall protection. Must be able to sustain extended periods of standing and sitting, as well as frequent kneeling, bending, and crouching. Must be able to create maintenance instructions, create and update process/facilities drawings, and work within a computer based Maintenance Management System. Responsible for use of a large variety of hand tools and equipment to perform corrective/preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment and facilities. Ability to safely operate and be certified on a forklift

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE
Technical Skills:

Must have demonstrated expertise maintaining and repairing a variety of mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment. Must have aptitude for working within computer based systems and common desktop applications (e.g. email, spreadsheets, other electronic documents).

Problem Solving:

Must have demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and identify failure modes in manufacturing equipment.

Communication Skills:

Must be able to communicate in English at a proficiency to interact and solve problems within your team.
