Machine Shop General Maintenance Technician PrimaryResponsibilities:
Support general maintenance of all machiningcenters. Coordinate outside technical support as required (Packard,Ganslow, etc). Responsible for scheduling and tracking of allmachines down. Maintain and document PM system for all machines.
Recommend and support TPM for operators involved in dailymaintenance. Maintain machine coolant systems including a fullclean/re-charge of approximately (2) machines per month. Includesset-up and on-going adjustment of oil coalescer, belt/wheelskimmers and overall chip management.
Preferred Skills:
Experiencewith CNC equipment including running, set-up, manual movement,coolant system control and conveyors. Mechanical ability to supportvarious technical needs on the floor including vise rebuilds,machine troubleshooting, tool holders and other general shop needs.
Ability to track overall cost drivers related to maintenance andPM. Includes down and up-time tracking, reaction time to get backrunning and proposed enhancements to support overall shop health.
Maintenance Mechanic 90% of time 10% other maintenance aroundbuilding when needed. 1st shift T-P Up to $26hr, DOE. Mechanicalability, using hand & power tools, Maintenance of machines, & PM,cleaning cooling tanks, and cleaning and changing oil, not afraidto get dirty. Preferrably owns tools, but will supply as well.
