Job Description
SMT Maintenance Technician (Quick Hire! 1st Shift!) Up to 33 an Hour! (part of Adecco) 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars North Billerica, MA 01862 We are seeking a skilled SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Maintenance Technician to support our electronics manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing SMT production equipment. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting continuous improvement efforts across the SMT line.

North Billerica, MA Shift:
Monday to Thursday one week and Monday to Friday the next week 1st Shift Pay is $25 – $33 an hour
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on SMT production equipment such as screen printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, AOI, SPI, and conveyors. Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of SMT machines to maintain production flow and product quality. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues on SMT machinery and resolve them efficiently. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process improvements and equipment upgrades. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment performance. Calibrate equipment according to manufacturer specifications and company standards. Maintain spare parts inventory and order necessary components as needed. Ensure compliance with safety procedures, ESD controls, and company policies. Support the installation and setup of new equipment.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or associate degree in electronics, mechatronics, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in SMT equipment maintenance (e.g., Fuji, Yamaha, Juki, Mydata, Panasonic, etc.). Strong understanding of electronic and mechanical systems. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. Working knowledge of IPC standards and ESD practices. Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and soldering tools. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
