Maintenance Technician Legends Residential Care LLC South Portland, ME 04106 We are looking for the right person that is eager to learn and highly motivated individual This position is full-time and involves a variety of tasks meant to ensure all homes are functioning within facility compliance, along with
DHHS/OADS/HCBS
regulations. The person in this position must have a knowledge of or willing to learn regulations set forth by the State/Federal government, as well the Fire Marshal’s Office for Assisted Living section 21 homes. This position will also be responsible for . . . Cleaning facilities by sweeping, dusting, painting etc., as needed. Perform maintenance and light repairs. Perform routine landscaping on the grounds. Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, doors, ceilings etc.) Undertake light installation or carpentry (e.g. build cabinets) Repair equipment or appliances. Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or home repairs that require licensed contractors. Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g. shoveling snow). Identify and report the need for major repairs. Assist with all moves whether it is an intake or discharge situation. Assemble all furniture for the office and residences as needed. Address installing or winterizing windows (e.g. air conditioners, weather stripping, etc.) Cleaning up unexpected breakage or windows, small appliances, etc., may be responsible to cover an entrance to a home until window or door can be replaced. Address plumbing and electrical issues that do not require a licensed contractor, e.g. clogged toilets, drains, light bulb changes, loose outlets, etc. This position will work closely with quality assurance to make sure that we are always in compliance. Will be responsible for always following Legends Code of Conduct and Ethics, along with policies and procedures. •Must be willing to travel or commute to perform job duties and responsibilities as needed
