GENERAL SUMMARY
Inspect mechanical components of machines for wear and tear. Exchange and/or refill lubricants according to specifications. Use a computer to login and retrieve work orders. As part of the Operations Team, participates in the attainment of department and company goals and demonstrates Spartan’s Core Operating Values through work activities, actions, and behaviors.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
(Listed in order of time-spent or importance) Includes the following, but not limited to: Performs preventative maintenance on machining and assembly equipment according to specifications within required timelines. Completes the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preventative maintenance work order following each completed task. Logs into the CMMS system and checks the tasks completed for each scheduled preventative maintenance routine. Communicates to supervisor and/or team leader any issues of machine component abnormal wear, recommendations to remove a machine from production for further evaluation, and recommendations regarding when a machine is safe to be returned to the production team. Contributes to and supports the existence of a positive work environment through personal involvement by communicating, interacting, and behaving in a manner that promotes productive relationships with coworkers, supervisors, customers, and others with whom such relationships are important to the success of company operations. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Certifications, Training, Experience Required:
Technical Degree/Certification in Industrial Maintenance, or related degree/certification
Preferred:
Die casting industry experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
(required, unless stated as preferred) Computer, Technical, mechanical, mathematical and/or scientific skills Basic computer skills to navigate through department systems. Basic electrical knowledge. Proficient mechanical acumen for diagnosing and solving potential machine defects. Ability read and learn from complex machine manuals. Communication Skills – Verbal, Written, Training, Presenting, etc. Proficient oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate technical information that is relevant and easily understood. Problem Solving skills and Decision Making Skills Proficient investigative, problem solving, and decision making skills, demonstrating the ability to correctly identify problems/issues and their root causes and recommend solutions. Ability to look at data, circumstances, and situation at hand and make a decision to solve the problem/issue, while ensuring all required processes, procedures and policies are followed. Willing to ask for guidance from Maintenance team members when needed. OTHER – additional skills, travel, shift/schedule requirements, etc. (required, unless stated as preferred) This is a Monday, Saturday and Sunday 12-hour day shift position (7am – 7pm) Ability to work well within a team and work independently.

Safety, Health and Environmental:
Wear required PPE when on the plant floor. Required to follow all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures to support facility compliance.
Physical Demands:
Climbing, kneeling and standing for extended periods of time. Lifting up to 50 pounds. Working in confined spaces.
Work Environment:
Working conditions in the plant include, hot temperatures in the summer and cool temperatures in the winter; and continuous noise. The office environment is well lighted, and climate controlled.
