Maintains accurate records of maintenance data on preventive maintenance, repairs, project, and modifications. Responsible for providing a safe, clean working environment that empowers high quality, ownership, initiative, and high morale.

Shift Description:

Monday-Wednesday 6:00 PM-6:00 AM Every other

Thursday:

6:00 PM-2:00

AM Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Responsible for maintenance of manufacturing equipment, including offices and warehouse facilities. Responsible for ensuring all maintenance is in accordance with all OSHA plant safety procedures. Responsible for ensuring good communication and coordination with all manufacturing personnel pertaining to maintenance, repairs, projects and modifications. Responsible for and maintains manufacturing equipment including, vehicles, tools, building, grounds, and offices. Accountable for performing maintenance and other projects within a set budget. Assists in planning department projects including preventive maintenance, projects, and shutdowns. Insures good communication and coordination with all other departments. Responsible for making decisions concerning maintenance, repairs, modifications, and projects. Assist manufacturing personnel with machine startup, shutdown, and line breaks as required. Knowledgeable in the operations of each phase of manufacturing. Works closely with manufacturing and quality control teams to insure machine efficiency and quality can be maintained at the highest level possible. Responsible for insuring that all maintenance work performed is in accordance with all OSHA and plant safety procedures. Responsible for shutting down when possible any energy sources as it relates to the emergency response / evacuation plan. Responsible as a backup or replacement for Maintenance Supervisor. Committed to operating and monitoring ways for improving environmental impacts and effects on the job. Accountable for all tools and equipment used for maintenance and projects. Performs clean up duties in assigned areas. On the job training provided on how to operate and maintain the manufacturing facility.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and written.
  • Basic math ability including understanding of multiplication, decimals, and conversions.
  • 1-3 years-mechanical or multi-crafted experience. Or 1-year maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Electrical experience optional but not required
  • Ability to coordinate and schedule maintenance repairs, projects and modifications.
  • Understanding of product quality specifications and product methods.
  • Must be able to learn and practice safe operation of forklifts, skid loader along with all tools and equipment.
  • Safety requirements for manufacturing plant and maintenance operations “Training required annually”
  • Training on emergency evacuation and spill prevention “Training required annually” Working Conditions and/or
Physical Demands:
  • The production area does not have cooling and can become warm in summer months. Work environment is dusty due to talc used as a surfacing agent. Some exposure to hot surfaces and materials.
  • The production area includes equipment outside. Exposure to the elements is dictated by the time of year. Conditions may be hot, cold, wet, or windy according to the climate.
  • Moving or lifting equipment weighing 100 lbs.
