Job Description
Maintenance Technician 1.6 1.6 out of 5 stars Kingsville, MO 64061 Ultra Defense Corp (UDC USA Inc.), a producer of small and medium caliber ammunition with production facilities in Kingsville and Warrensburg. This position will require work at both facilities, as needed. UDC facilities come under the oversight of the ATF; background check is required. Pre-interview screening will be required for candidates selected for interview.
Licenses or Certifications Required or Preferred:
None required Education/Experience required: Previous maintenance experience, minimum 2+ years required. Must be mechanically inclined.
Special Knowledge Skills or Abilities Required:
Knowledge to work independently with limited supervision. Ability to read and understand all written instructions, communicate well with others, accept responsibility, implement and follow-up tasks, as assigned. Working knowledge, understanding and experience of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills.

Key Responsibilities Installation and Maintenance Preventative Maintenance Installing, repairing and maintaining industrial machinery and equipment. Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently. Follow all safety guidelines. Record Keeping and Documentation Maintain detailed reports of maintenance activities including inspections, repairs and parts replacements. Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records in compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Trouble shooting and Repair Diagnosing and repairing malfunctions, breakdowns and other issues. Safety Compliance Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and that equipment complies with safety standards and regulations. Knowledge and complete understanding of the company lock-out tag-out procedure is required. Collaboration Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and management team to ensure efficient maintenance operations. Training Participate in training programs to enhance KSAs in industrial maintenance practices. Root Cause Analysis Identify and address the root causes of equipment failures to prevent recurring issues. Emergency Response Respond to breakdown and equipment emergencies promptly to minimize production downtime. Monitor time management issues and Maximize efficiency.
General Job Responsibilities:
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Responsible for one’s own time management (i.e. if tasks are completed and your immediate supervisor is not on site, report to another member of management). Maintain clean and orderly work area; follow general housekeeping procedures. Follow company safety policies e.g. safe method of operation/work, fire/severe weather evaluations, safety rules, emergency procedures, medical procedures.
