Job Description
Maintenance Technician Homestretch Property Management St. Louis, MO The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and repair of residential properties. This role involves performing tasks related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance. The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the property’s functionality, safety, and aesthetic appeal, contributing to tenant satisfaction and overall property value.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repairs:
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as HVAC filter changes, plumbing repairs, and electrical system checks. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues in a timely and efficient manner. Address tenant maintenance requests promptly and effectively, prioritizing urgent issues to minimize disruptions.
Carpentry and Painting:
Repair or replace damaged doors, windows, cabinets, and other wooden fixtures. Patch and paint walls, ceilings, and trim when needed. Install or repair flooring materials such as tiles, laminate, carpet, or hardwood. Record keeping and
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs performed, and materials used. Document inspections, safety checks, and maintenance repairs in a detailed manner to track property conditions. Communicate effectively with property management and other team members regarding maintenance needs and status updates.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in maintenance or a related field preferred. Proven experience in property maintenance, construction, or a related trade. Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance techniques. Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in maintenance and repair work. Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently, with strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with tenants, colleagues, and contractors. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions. Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance issues outside of regular business hours. Reliable Transportation Have your own tools
