TITLE General Maintenance

DESCRIPTION

The General Maintenance is responsible for maintenance, and repair of the grounds, buildings, and equipment of the facility including performing a variety of skilled technical duties and semi-skilled labor in the operation and maintenance of the facility.

 DUTIES

AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs maintenance service and repairs in the areas of air conditioning/heating, electrical, kitchen, plumbing, machine service, carpentry, upholstery, painting, plastering, landscaping, welding, and/or general maintenance as directed. Identifies and diagnoses deficiencies with HVAC system, alarm system, and generators, and take necessary measures to correct deficiencies. Opens, tracks and closes out work orders; inputs work orders into system. Conducts inventory of materials, re-orders, and stocks materials. Preparation of work area to include movement of furniture/obstructions.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED required. Three years’ experience in Facilities Maintenance or in a related field.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATION, AND PERMITS

Mississippi Gaming Permit Must have some general knowledge of one or more of the following areas: air conditioning/heating, electrical, kitchen, plumbing, machine service, carpentry, upholstery, painting, plastering, heavy equipment operation, landscaping, and general maintenance.
