About the Position Third-level seasoned vocational worker accountable for performing a variety of semi-skilled work in the alteration, maintenance, and repair of state buildings and facilities. At this level, employees work in and have general knowledge of a variety of trade areas including: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and mechanical repair in settings such as facilities and grounds. May oversee a crew engaged in maintenance tasks. This position serves as a career transition point for employees to either continue with this family or transfer to the Specialty Trades and Construction Family. – This position is Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm. What you’ll need to be Successful Integrity, attention to detail, punctuality, organization skills, teamwork, professionalism, excellent and effective communication skills, problem solving skills, ability to multi-task, dependability, ability to conduct oneself in an ethical manner, ability to maintain confidentiality, and compassion. Preferred Qualifications Typically requires 3-4 years of experience.
