EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Typically requires Graduation from a standard four-year high schoolor equivalent (GED or High School Equivalency Diploma) AND Twoyears of experience in at least one of the following fields:plumbing, carpentry, painting, electronics, electrical work,plastering, air-conditioning/refrigeration, heating equipment, orgeneral maintenance and repair.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING
Two years’ experience as a Facilities MaintenanceWorker Performs skilled tasked in one or more of the followingmaintenance repair fields: plumbing, carpentry, painting,electronics, electrical work, plastering,air-conditioning/refrigeration, heating equipment, or generalmaintenance and repair. Receives work orders, itemizes work to be done and completesassigned tasks. Prepares cost estimates as needed and recommends the purchaseof supplies. Make repairs to buildings and other equipment. Performs ground maintenance such as mowing, edging, andtrimming lawns, bushes, and planting trees. Collect and remove trash from the grounds.
