Maintenance Tech Position Available In Lee, Mississippi

SUMMARY:

Performs routine and extensive range of work in the repair and general maintenance of facilities, buildings, industrial machinery and equipment under general supervision. The work will be executed within established procedures and process under both verbal and written instructions. A firm understanding of mechanics, hydraulics and electricity is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include but are not limited to the following:a) Does routine preventive maintenance and ensures that machines continue to run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently. Proficiency in diagnosing and mainta ining mechanical systems, equipment and controls is essential.b) Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.c) Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as blow molders and presses. Replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.d) Replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.e) Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards. Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors.f) Cuts and welds metal to repair broken metalparts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment.g) Other duties as assigned.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as sa fety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, work instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.3)

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of mea sure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.4)

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.5)
