Job Description
SUMMARY:
Performs routine and extensive range of work in the repair and general maintenance of facilities, buildings, industrial machinery and equipment under general supervision. The work will be executed within established procedures and process under both verbal and written instructions. A firm understanding of mechanics, hydraulics and electricity is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include but are not limited to the following:a) Does routine preventive maintenance and ensures that machines continue to run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently. Proficiency in diagnosing and mainta ining mechanical systems, equipment and controls is essential.b) Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.c) Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as blow molders and presses. Replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.d) Replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.e) Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards. Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors.f) Cuts and welds metal to repair broken metalparts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment.g) Other duties as assigned.
