Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars 100 Caterpillar Dr, Booneville, MS 38829 Amentum is seeking a Multi Skilled Technician III to join our team in Booneville, MS! Typical work schedule is 10:00 P.M.- 6:30 A.M Sunday- Thursday; hours may vary based on business demand. Weekend hours may be scheduled to support our 24/7 operation. The Multi-Skilled Technician is responsible for maintaining the company’s facilities and equipment in an operating and functional condition. Duties may include any of the following: electrical repairs or installations, CNC repairs, mechanical repairs, plumbing, welding, machine servicing, and general mechanical maintenance (e.g. Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning or HVAC). Under general supervision, performs tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Reviews service requests for repairs and maintenance, determines the nature of problem, and recommends appropriate solution. Coordinates the day-to-day operations of a group of employees. Leads and directs by assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work. Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues. Coordinates work with outside contractors. Assures code and building standards are met. Performs repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on buildings and facilities, equipment, fixtures, and systems. Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains facility systems. Performs work based on dispatched service or daily/weekly work schedules. Reviews work as required to document specific needs (materials, supplies, instructions, etc). Assists in the movement of furniture, materials, and equipment as required. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Works with or oversees subcontractor activities as directed by supervisor or work schedule. Operates, maintains, and repairs all facility and production associated equipment in compliance with all company regulations and standards. Must have the ability to identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures. Analyzes equipment failures, inspects, replaces, alters, and maintains in good repair all building and production services and related equipment. Performs planned maintenance on all building equipment and related services for specific areas while being sensitive and responsive to customer needs. Performs trouble-shooting techniques on mechanical equipment such as CNC machine tools, pumps, agitators, hydraulic systems, compressed air and other gas equipment and distribution systems to determine problems and effect repairs as promptly and efficiently as possible to minimize downtime. Performs preventative maintenance inspections, sump clean out, lubrication, adjustments, and alignments. Develops and implements planned maintenance procedures, performs job estimates, maintains spare parts inventory. Keeps stock persons informed as to parts consumed from inventory. Assists in installing, inspecting new equipment and servicing installations. Provides support to co-workers, contractors, vendors, project managers, building managers, and engineers as necessary to support project and renovation work. Complies with all governmental, company, and industrial regulations, codes, and standards, health safety practices, and permit systems. Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Responds and provides service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations and industry standards. Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance. Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required. Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions. Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work. Maintains a strict schedule in order to be successful in the assignment yet demonstrates flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer. General Maintenance of equipment will also be required. Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor. Work schedules can change based on critical business needs.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent. Three years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment, or demonstrated equivalent is recommended.
