TITLE:
Maintenance Generalist
DEPARTMENT
Maintenance 19.52 hourly
Full Time Shift:
1st 7am-3pm Rotating schedule/alternating weekend schedule The Maintenance Generalist is responsible for basic maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, minor facility repairs, and groundskeeping. This role is foundational to the smooth operation of the plant and supports higher-level maintenance staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine oiling, greasing, and lubrication of machinery and equipment. Conduct basic building maintenance (painting, minor repairs, cleaning). Maintain facility grounds (mowing, landscaping, snow removal, etc.). Assist with general housekeeping and organization of maintenance areas. Support other maintenance staff as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to use basic hand and power tools. Good communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols.
Physical Demands :
Regularly required to sit or stand, and move about the facility for extended periods of time Frequent exposure to heat, cold, dust, fumes, and odors Contact supervisor when issues occur that may affect quality and productivity. Promote good housekeeping, 5S, and safety practices in all activities. Must be able to perform all tasks assigned. Must have the ability to solve technical issues. Must have the ability to lift 65 lbs. unassisted.
