  • SUMMARY:
  • This position is responsible for, but not limited to
  • Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
  • Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction
  • Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems
  • Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations
  • Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule
  • Complete appropriate paperwork and reports
  • Must comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs
  • Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs
  • Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision
  • Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision
  • Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Work in temperature that will vary with outside ambient temperatures and humidity. It can be dusty, warm, cold and/or humid
  • The positions physical requirements will include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping and the ability to climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds
  • Lifting will also be required and depending on department could be up to 70lbs.

  • REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience:
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least three years). Must have PSM experience.
  • Previous poultry processing experience preferred.

Basic computer skills with knowledge in

Good interpersonal and communication skills arecritical

Safety:

Must be able to understand and agree to follow Safety Rules.
