Shift:

2pm – 10:30pm The Maintenance Technician is responsible to perform routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on MAF building, mechanical equipment, production machines and utility systems.

General Responsibilities:

Oversee and maintain all the equipment and machinery at MAF Performs minor and major repairs on building and equipment. Major repairs are performed under the supervision of license technicians and/or Supervisor. Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, repairs or replaces broken parts. Calibrates and repairs pneumatic systems. Replaces broken windows, repairs doors, door locks and closets, installs window blinds. Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures. Responds to emergency maintenance request as required. May have to work after normal scheduled hours depending on task. Performs outside custodial duties such as snow removal as required. May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed Inspect, operate and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions Paint, repair windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall or other parts of building structures Test and treat water supply Perform routine maintenance on boilers Align and balance new equipment after installation May perform duties in other departments as assigned by supervisor Responsible for completing job duties in a manner that supports all plant safety, food safety, quality, and environmental practices. Required Minimum Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED 1-3 years of formal trades experience Flexibility to work during the weekend and/or after business hours Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office) Preferred Qualification s Previous experience in an FDA regulated facility Vocational school training Experience with welding, insulation and electrical repairs
