SUMMARY :

Ensure optimal operation of all equipment and machinery while performing both corrective and Preventative Maintenance; install new equipment and verify functionality; troubleshoot breakdowns; make emergency repairs as necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

: Clean, dismantle, replace, and repair defective machinery or electrical / electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic components of equipment & machinery. Locate malfunctions through observation and utilizing test instruments and knowledge of machine operation. Carry out Preventative Maintenance schedule. Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Install, program, and/or repair automated machinery and equipment, such as PLCs and robots. Set up and operate metalworking tools, such as lathes, drill presses, and grinders, to repair or fabricate parts. Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other issues. Operate welding equipment or cutting torch to cut or join metal parts. Observe, inspect, and listen to equipment and machinery to locate causes of malfunctions. Read blueprints and ladder logic, as well as electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics, to troubleshoot machines. Use equipment such as forklifts, hoists, chains, straps, or slings to lift, move, place or relocate equipment or machinery Take responsibility for the proper care and cleaning of tools, parts, materials, and immediate work area. Liaise with vendors as needed. Connect to PLCs to assist in troubleshooting logic/control malfunctions, monitor and modify ladder/program and upload/download between PC/laptop and PLC. Verify proper set-up of machines or robots and manually operate to verify malfunctions or success of repairs. Help mentor new employees. Recognize and report potential equipment failure or unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor Document repairs/resolutions in CMMS database Assist in maintaining and creating preventative & corrective procedures/processes and checklists for production equipment. Attend workshops, classes or online seminars or programs. Must be able to work overtime as needed, and remain flexible and open to potential schedule changes to meet production needs.

REQUIREMENTS

: Two- or four-year certificate from a college or technical school, or five to 10 years’ related experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preventative or corrective maintenance experience in Injection Molding, Compression Molding, Composite Molding or Roto Mold manufacturing highly desired. Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic prints or schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively before groups of customers or other employees, and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and the fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Ability to solve practical problems, and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

: Previous experience in maintenance and troubleshooting with: o Haitian 2- and 3-platen injection molding machines, JSW hydraulic or electric injection molding machines, Husky Hydraulic injection molding machines, Blow molding machines, and Uniloy Structural Web molding machines. o Star & Yushin Robots o Ferry Rotational molding machines o Compression press molding machines o Martin Pultrusion molding machines o Conair & Universal Dynamics (Una-Dyn) material handling equipment, Matsui Dryer material handling equipment Previous training/certification in operating forklifts, scissor- and boom-lifts.
