un ⚐ ⚑ ⚑ Construction Assistant / Handyman Needed To Help Build Wooden Platform (Creston) ‹ image 1 of 1 › compensation: Hourly Wage TBD, based on experience Hey folks, my father-in-law is seeking an able-bodied assistant to help him complete a small, personal construction project on his property in Creston (near Brushy Fork Road). Normally, he would do all the work himself, but he is having some health issues that affect his stamina and his ability to lift things of even fairly heavy weight, so he needs an extra set of hands — and ideally those belonging to someone who has experience working with wooden structures. He says this job will not require a full-blown carpenter (he is a longtime professional handyman who has been doing these sorts of things for decades). The project is building a wooden frame/platform that will ultimately support a pre-made wooden shed which is currently sitting empty on cinderblocks in his yard. He has the entire thing mapped out, and already has all of the required wood, brackets, posts, etc… on site. As he describes it, weather permitting, this should only take he and a helper a few days at the very most to complete. This needs to be started sometime around this upcoming Thursday, June 18. He does not use social media, so I am posting this for him. If anyone here on this group can recommend a trustworthy, reliable and skilled person who they think would be suited for this task, please feel free to leave a comment with that recommendation below.
