About the role This position is responsible for coordinating repairs, adjustments, or maintenance of industrial production and processing machinery. This position performs more complex troubleshooting and repairs and ensures safe, clean, and efficient operations. Responsibilities Repairs or maintains the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment Repairs or replaces broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment Disassembles machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs Observes and tests the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices Reassembles equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs Cleans, lubricates, or adjusts parts, equipment, or machinery Examines parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear Records repairs and maintenance performed Performs changeovers and set-ups to equipment as required Assures all assigned equipment is clean and all safety guarding is in place Operates newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs Analyzes failures, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators Leads, coordinates work and work schedules, advices and coordinated and/or performs training as assigned Provides input for work performance as required Monitors Operation Equipment Efficiency (OEE) to ensure set standards are achieved or exceeded Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Skills & Abilities Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance, required Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods, required Ability to determine causes of operating errors and implementing effective solutions, required Intermediate computer skills, required Ability to communicate in verbal and written English Physical Requirements Requires standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, pulling, pushing, and feeling Requires eye/hand/foot coordination Requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions Leviton is an EEO/AA Employer.
