job summary:
A manufacturer in North Carolina is seeking a Maintenance Technician. Candidates must have 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility. A technical degree is preferred. Must have technical knowledge of automated production machine equipment and the maintenance required. Will require the ability to use common precision measurement gages, multimeters, and basic machine shop equipment. Day and night shift available. Hourly rate, OT, benefits and 401k.

education: High School responsibilities:
Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines, facilities services, and conveyor systems. Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments. Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Layout, install, adjust, and maintain a variety of electrical equipment such as wiring, motors, switches, switchboards, and electrical mechanisms. Diagnose and remedy any electrical trouble quickly to avoid shutdowns. Diagnose and remedy the trouble, determine necessary repairs, and tear down and reassemble machines. Perform repair of machinery under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor. Prepare mechanical maintenance shift reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and work order repairs. Other duties assigned by management.
