To be eligible for a sign-on bonus, the candidate must not have worked as a probationary, permanent, or time-limited employee in the last 12 months as an employee subject to the State Human Resources Act. Reporting to the Facility Maintenance Supervisor III, the Maintenance/Construction Technician III requires specialization in two or more technical trades in connection with maintenance of facilities, related equipment, and machinery. Position functions at the journey level in multiple skilled trades such as electrical, plumbing, masonry, heating and air, or similar specializations. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Completing complex work assignments which require planning and/or coordinating multiple trade disciplines.
Working assigned tasks independently and referring very technical or unusual working problems to a supervisor for consideration.
Supervising offender workers engaged in semiskilled, unskilled, or of skilled maintenance assignments.
Ensuring compliance with work orders.
Maintaining equipment in proper working condition. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits. Note to
