Full Job Description Responsibilities:

General Handyman responsibilities to assist with work orders for turnovers and renovations. Install appliances, such stoves, refrigerators, microwaves, toilets, etc. Remove and reinstall fixtures (e.g. – doorknobs, electric switch cover) as necessary. Review and implement work orders and assignments. Complete general maintenance for homes and apartments. Repair and/or paint doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs and other parts of the building. Assemble scaffolding as required/needed. Cover floors, furniture and other surfaces with drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep free from dust/debris. Prepare surfaces to be painted by filling holes and cracks and sanding them until smooth. Apply primer and other sealers to paint surfaces to ensure that paint sticks to them. Touch up paint, stain and/or other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers, or sprayers. Maintain an inventory of supplies like hand tools, material, tarps, etc. Clean machines, equipment, tools, and work areas using water, solvents, and other cleaning aids. Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and fixed as necessary. Follow safeguards, rules, and regulations.

Requirements and Skills:

High school diploma or GED. Valid driver’s license. A minimum, two (2) years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician. Proven handman and general construction experience. Sound knowledge of business ordinances. The ability to lift heavy materials and tools. The ability to use powered hand tools. Excellent communication skills. Exceptional customer service skills.
