The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in facilities maintenance. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities through effective troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of equipment and systems. The Facilities Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment while providing excellent customer service to all stakeholders. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and machinery. Fabricate components as needed to support repairs and maintenance tasks. Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory management. Conduct inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards. Operate tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs. Collaborate with team members to develop solutions for complex maintenance challenges. Provide leadership in projects related to facility improvements or upgrades. Deliver exceptional customer service while interacting with staff, vendors, and contractors. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems effectively. Familiarity with CMMS software is a plus. Proficient in reading schematics and technical drawings. Ability to fabricate parts as necessary for repairs. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Leadership skills to guide team members during projects or maintenance tasks. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to address concerns professionally.
