The Maintenance Tech isresponsible for equipment maintenance strategy development,providing front line support to production processes, as well as,supporting area engineering initiatives, process improvements, andproject implementation. This position will require the developmentof expertise in production processes, verification requirements,and equipment controls system technologies. The Maintenance Techwill ensure that equipment is maintained in a qualified state, canbe operated safely, and maintenance is properly performed on thesystems.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

Support Site Leadership tobuild a diverse and capable organization by delivering areaequipment and maintenance procedures, quality processes andcontrols for the Device Assembly and Packaging areas. Assure thatoperational and maintenance procedures and practices reflect safetyconcerns. Perform activities in accordance with cGMPs andapplicable procedures. Identify opportunities to improve qualityusing equipment performance data and by assuring maintenance isperformed appropriately. Effectively communicate with all levels toensure all projects and repairs are well planned and coordinatedwith minimal disruption to that area involved. Working with theprocess team, including engineers and operations personnel,participate in and sometimes lead development of equipment design,procedures, engineering studies, and maintenance practices thatwill enable the process to operate as required. Seek out andidentify opportunities to improve equipment operationaleffectiveness and reliability. Provide technical support forprocess and engineering teams. Transfer knowledge of equipmentcapabilities and operational techniques to operators, engineering,and maintenance. Contractor and Vendor coordination. Provideleadership on manufacturing floor ensuring high level of safety,quality, and productivity to maintain reliable supply of productsto patients.

Technical leader:

Key resource for troubleshooting andfunctions as the primary point of contact for issue escalation fromthe shop floor.

Basic Requirements:

Associate’s degree (or highschool degree with equivalent work experience) Previous experiencedirectly supporting highly automated manufacturing. Experience inGMP manufacturing environment. Qualified candidates must be legallyauthorized to be employed in the United States. Completion of PostOffer Exam or Completion of Work Simulation if applicable.

Additional Preferences:

Demonstrated Team contributor. Demonstratedability to work safely. Strong equipment/process troubleshooting,documenting and reporting skills. Ability to understand automation,controls and electrical schematics. Ability to effectivelycommunicate (written and verbal) Basic computer skills (desktopsoftware) are required. Previous experience with highly automatedequipment (PLC/DCS/SCADA). Previous experience with ComputerizedMaintenance Management System (GMARS – Maximo)

Ability to wear safety equipment (safety glasses,safety shoes, protective gloves etc.) Role will be responsible towork 12-hour shifts on nights (2-2-3 schedule).
