General Maintenance Technician
Reports to: Facilities Manager

Supervises:

N/A
Essential Job Functions.
Assist in the construction and maintenance of structures and furniture.
Assist in the inspection, repair and maintenance of facility systems and equipment.
Respond to various service requests throughout the facility.
Oversee the dock waste accumulation area and schedule pickups as necessary.
Marginal Job Functions
Assist other personnel as time and knowledge permit.
Participate in training and meetings as requested.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Must be able to work professionally as part of a team with other employees..
Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable through the company’s insurance.
Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
Must be able to consistently bend, stand, stoop, climb, walk and lift up to 50 pounds over a 10 hour period.
Must have a general knowledge of standard practices and procedures of construction trades such as plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting and mechanical systems, including materials and tools.
Must be able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime and respond to emergency situations after hours.
Education and Work Experience
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
