POSITION SUMMARY
The Embassy Suites by Hilton Winston-Salem is seeking our next maintenance tech. The ideal candidate must have a can-do attitude. The ideal candidate must have a general knowledge of hotel maintenance and the requirements of working in a hotel. Our maintenance techs are responsible for the overall preventive maintenance of the guest rooms and building repairs to include equipment, mechanical, pool, plumbing, and electrical needs.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Performing routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and equipment to identify needed repairs. Repairing or replacing damaged furniture, fixtures, and appliances in guest rooms and public areas. Maintaining and repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems throughout the hotel. Cleaning, lubricating, protecting, and otherwise maintaining all tools and equipment in the hotel. Analyzing problems, identifying courses of action, and implementing solutions with available resources and to a high degree of quality. Performing minor plumbing and electrical repairs, fixing broken furniture, changing light bulbs, painting walls, and maintaining equipment. Ensuring the interior and exterior of the hotel is well maintained. Supervising the preventative maintenance program. Reporting major repair needs to the General Manager. Assisting in setup/cleanup of meeting rooms. Assisting in other areas of the hotel as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The hotel business operates 24 / 7 / 365. There is no guaranteed shift or schedules. There may be times that you will need to move to different shifts or different work areas to accommodate our guests.
