Maintenance Technician Job Description We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position offers multiple shift options including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts with various schedules. The role involves performing mechanical preventative and repair maintenance on all production equipment, following written work order scheduling and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical skills to ensure the smooth operation of our production equipment. Responsibilities Perform mechanical preventative and repair maintenance on all production equipment. Follow written work order scheduling and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager. Record work done on provided forms. Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines. Identify parts needed and maintain inventory of parts in stockroom. Perform equipment changeovers. Other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Ability to use a meter to take electrical readings AC and DC. Ability to read continuity to find open/broken wires and blown fuses. Ability to read current with meter and amp clamp, and troubleshoot overcurrent issues. Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams. Ability to operate and navigate HMI panels. Ability to wire up 3 phase motors and change the direction of 3 phase motors. Understanding of voltage differences from 24VDC to 480VDC and how to read those voltages. Ability to replace mat top chain, linked chain with master links, laced belts, rubber bands for rollers, and specialty belt applications. Ability to replace bearings, shafts, rollers, sprockets, gearboxes, and motors. Ability to drill, tap, and thread bolt holes properly. Ability to use concrete hammer drill with anchors to secure equipment. Ability to use basic hand tools and battery-operated tools. Ability to apply grease to lubrication points properly with proper tooling. Ability to change out V-Belts for fans and work with pulley systems. Ability to work on dock plates, dock doors, and hydraulic cylinders. Ability to do basic plumbing, painting, and building repair work. Ability to use tape measure accurately for take-ups on belts and equipment identification. Ability to replace seals and gaskets properly. Ability to use torque wrenches to spec bolts and screws to proper torque. Additional Skills & Qualifications Understanding of inputs/outputs for PLC applications and ability to read PLC diagrams/ladder diagrams. Ability to change out and program AC drives, and troubleshoot drives. Why Work Here?
