Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Facilities Maintenance Technician/Coordinator to oversee the maintenance, operations, and coordination across four facilities, including three in Greensboro, NC, and one in Greenville, SC. This role involves hands-on tasks such as plumbing, electrical repairs, and painting, as well as operational coordination, including vendor management and facility-related procurement. Frequent travel between sites is required to ensure all facilities function optimally and comply with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
General Maintenance and Repairs:

Conduct preventive and routine maintenance tasks, including repairs for plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, drywall, and painting. Assemble, install, and wall-mount furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Troubleshoot and promptly resolve maintenance issues to support smooth facility operations.

Facility Coordination and Multi-Site Support:

Oversee maintenance schedules and facilitate preventative maintenance programs across all facilities. Travel to different locations (three in Greensboro) to ensure consistent standards are maintained. Manage emergency repairs and prioritize operational needs at all locations.

Vendor and Contractor Management:

Communicate with external vendors for janitorial services, landscaping, pest control, and other maintenance-related tasks. Review and monitor vendor contracts and performance to ensure efficient service delivery that aligns with expectations.

Procurement and Expense Management:

Input purchase orders (POs) and track expenses related to facility operations and maintenance. Maintain detailed records of costs, activities, and compliance for all facilities.

Operational Oversight and Compliance:

Conduct routine inspections of all facilities to identify and address safety risks or issues requiring repair. Ensure maintenance activities align with company policies and local safety standards.

Skills and Proficiencies:

Strong technical skills in plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, painting, and general maintenance. Proficient in basic carpentry, drywall repair, and assembly. Knowledge of maintenance scheduling, vendor coordination, and procurement systems. Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple priorities and coordinate across sites. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and travel when required.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirement :

High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).

Preferred Education :

Vocational or technical training in fields like Electrical Systems, HVAC, Plumbing, or Construction. An associate degree in facility management, engineering, or a related field (preferred). Certifications (Recommended but not mandatory): OSHA Certification (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).

Industry-specific certifications like:

EPA 608 Certification (for HVAC systems). Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT). Electrical, plumbing, or HVAC state licenses.

Experiences :

Courses or experience in Procurement and Record-Keeping for entering and handling purchase orders (POs) and expense management. Previous experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a similar role. Valid driver’s license and vehicle to travel between facilities. Proficient with safety standards, building codes, and regulatory compliance. Physical ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs. and perform a wide range of maintenance tasks.
