This critical role will be primarily responsible for ensuring the optimal functionality and reliability of our production equipment and facility systems during the night shift. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in industrial maintenance, including significant experience with high voltage electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS/ERP). Initial training will be conducted on the day shift for approximately 2-3 months before transitioning to the night shift.

Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Systems:

Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on high voltage (480V and above) and low voltage electrical systems, including motors, drives, PLC controls, and wiring. Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints. Ensure compliance with all electrical safety regulations (e.g., NFPA 70E).

Mechanical Systems:

Execute troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on various mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and rotating equipment. Perform precision alignments and component replacements.

Hydraulics & Pneumatics:

Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including cylinders, valves, pumps, and air compressors. Understand and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.

Preventative and Predictive Maintenance:

Execute scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Utilize predictive maintenance tools and techniques (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography) to identify potential issues. Document all maintenance activities accurately within the

ERP/CMMS

system.

Troubleshooting & Repair:

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform efficient root cause analysis and repairs to restore operation. Utilize technical manuals, drawings, and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve complex issues.

Facility Maintenance:

Perform basic plumbing repairs (e.g., leaky pipes, clogged drains). Execute basic carpentry tasks (e.g., minor wall repairs, installing shelving). Assist with general facility upkeep and repairs as needed.

Safety & Compliance:

Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and confined space entry. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Participate in safety training and initiatives.

Documentation & Communication:

Accurately record all maintenance activities, parts used, and labor hours in the company’s

ERP/CMMS

system (e.g., SAP, Maximo). Communicate effectively with production personnel, other maintenance technicians, and supervisors regarding equipment status and issues. Provide clear and concise handovers between shifts.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or vocational training in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Required experience with high voltage (480V+) electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair. Strong proficiency with

ERP/CMMS

systems for work order management, parts inventory, and maintenance history. Extensive experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including schematics interpretation and component repair. Demonstrated ability to perform basic plumbing and carpentry tasks. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic blueprints and schematics. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Willingness to work the night shift (with initial day shift training for 2-3 months). Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to dust, noise, varying temperatures, and moving machinery. Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and lifting for extended periods. May require working in confined spaces or at heights.
